Maybe it is Eckler. She is in TO now that the Finance has dumped her.

Hi, Rebecca!!!!!

Why don't you just leave Rebecca Eckler alone?!?!?! *incomprehensible crying* She's a human BEING!

Thank you thank you to the reader who posted about stevemegan blogspot. Megan's Youtube about Ickler was hysterical!! Icks must sit around for hours typing in her name and writing on blogs defending herself. Hey Icks, if you're reading this, go back to college and learn how to write, ok?

Why the fascination with Eckler? I, too, confess that I love to come across yet another tidbit of her completely annoying existence. Why? Ah, the eternal question. Why do I click on the link when there is another Britney sans panties picture? Why do I slow down and look (well, I guess I'm supposed to slow down) at accident scenes? I guess for the simple reason that I want to see how bad it can get. How muc wurse cin she spel? How many nannies/cleaners can she employ? How much navel-gazing can one person do? And (don't start a sentence with "and," I know, I know)most of us bloggers, if I can be so bold as to presume, enjoy writing (perhaps have relevant "writerly" degrees, perhaps wish we could get published) and yet there she is, with multiple book contracts, mocking us. So here we are (I know, improper use of "so") doing the only reasonable thing anyone can do in the face of that: Shamelessly searching for yet another example of what a mess she is. (Thank you, Dr. Freud.)

Hello, Anonymous #2. You are very kind. I hope you'll stick around.

SBS: Welcome! Are you a fellow grammar nerd?

Grammar nerd, as well as "invented-word/phrase-phobic." Notably, "de-plane," "impacted" when referring to anything other than wisdom teeth (I gather you have issues in this dept. as well?) and the biggie: Phrases that have been in use with one meaning for many years, and yet are given a new meaning by the media/idiots, such as "draw a line in the sand," my personal fav. (ed. note: run on sentence...) which as you no doubt know, used to be archaic sign language for "fellow Christian" (I guess it was all they could come up with before those little fishy bumper stickers were invented) but has come to mean "the line which, if crossed, will be the point of no return," which should actually be called "the Rubicon," non? (Sigh, and all you did was ask a simple question...I'll stop now.

"Impacted" can also refer to feces. :) It's great to have another grammar nerd around. We need to stick together.

And welcome, Nine Gram Brain readers.

Re: Search Strings

I originally got "Rebecca Eckler Annoying" from Calgary
(http://weareindebtetc.blogspot.com/2007/06/crap-im-wearing-tank-top-today.html), when she was still living there. Now I've got "Rebecca Eckler" and "Rebecca Eckler Fiance Dumps Her" coming from Toronto. Heh.

(Hi, came here from NGB)

Sorry, that link got cut off. It's here.

Hi, sbs!

Funny you should mention the fish symbol, because the Christian "line in the sand" WAS the little fishie symbol! One Christian would draw the first curve fairly casually; if the other person finished the fish, they were a Christian and could be trusted.

Megan, you're going to be famous.

I just got a hit from Canwest Media! HA!!

So did I! HA!

Now I'm about to search your site for Rebecca Eckler, but I don't like her. I just want to see what else you have to say about her.

- also here from NGB

I don't even know exactly how I got here (check your stats) but I really enjoy reading other people with a hate-on for Eckler. What a tool!
