MICHAEL: Mom, I want to e-mail Santa Claus. Remember when we e-mailed Santa Claus?
ME: Yep, but Santa only has an e-mail address at Christmas time. You have to wait until there's snow on the ground.
MICHAEL: Oh. Mom, do you believe in Santa Claus?
ME: Do you?
MICHAEL: I don't think so. It can't be real.
ME: Why not?
MICHAEL: Because reindeer can't fly. It can't be real. Someone else must put the presents under the tree.
ME: Who would do that?
MICHAEL: I don't know.
ME: Did you talk to someone about Santa? Why are you asking this?
MICHAEL: Nope. I just thought about it.

Michael, You can be assured that Saint Nicholas is real.
Oh - - more than just real - - he was HOLY.
Michael, St Nicolas didn't ride with flying reindeer! But he mastered his own appetite, which is better. He helped many many children. He stood up to wicked kings. He was a saint.
You will never outgrow the stories of the saints, but with God's help, you might grow into them!
Saint Nicholas even has his own day. Since my brother, Nick, was born the day after Christmas my parents didn't want his special day to be overshadowed by the Big C's special day. We celebrate Nick's birthday on Saint Nicholas Day, December 6.
*grins* man you guys are nutty!
Scarey.
