A big problem.
You see, the only store in town that sold Burt's Bees products has disappeared. I don't know if it went out of business or moved to another location, but MAN OH MAN I am out of green ointment and I have no idea how to treat the red patches that have appeared on my hands. I think it is frostbite, because the patches are on the parts of my hands that face into the wind as I walk to work. I don't know what to do. Help! What happened to the store?
I didn't realise it until I started going on and on about his products, but my dad knows, or knew, Burt. Click here for a description of the company's history. I grew up in Dexter (third paragraph) and I've spent time in Fayscott's parking lot. My dad worked at the town office one summer, where Burt was apparently a bit of a rabble-rouser.

I have a problem

I LOVE Burt's Bees stuff. I stock up every time I go home. I have the shampoo and conditioner, lotions, cleansers and about a zillion lip balms... one of which Andrew refers to as 'lip crack' because we're both so addicted to it. It should be pretty easy to order it on-line though...
Yes, you can get it online: I checked rather frantically when I discovered the store was gone. It was just so easy to zip down to the store and get my crack straight from the dealer.
You HAVE to try their ointments. They have stuff that heals cuts and rashes. I don't know how they do it.
My parents say that everyone in Maine knows that Burt's ex-wife is the real genius behind the business.
There's also plenty of rumors that Burt's wife is completely insane.
I'm told they're both a bit nuts, so much so that it's hard to believe anyone would buy health products from either of them.
