You say it's your birthday. It's my birthday, too.

It has been many years, but I remember standing in the kitchen my dad built in Dexter, Maine, talking to my aunt Sharon, who is still very dear to me. She was telling me in a serious voice that she was very old, because she was 32. The Capitalist and I just looked at each other, stunned that anyone could be so old.

I am 30. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to feel.

This'll do:

And happy anniversary, Mom and Dad. See you tomorrow.

Happy Birthday, to one who is wise beyond her VERY FEW years. . .

You are supposed to feel. . . YOUNG. Because you're still just a wee babe! (Truly. Trust me. Looking back at 30 all these years later, I know whereof I speak. Just wait till you look in the mirror and start seeing your mother's face there--now, that was a scary one!!).

Enjoy your B-day. :)

Come on now Megan, Cher is much older than 30 in that video and she still has hundreds of screaming sailors around her. Maybe you just need some mature attire like hers ;)

Have a good one (from someone who went through 30 last year and lived to tell the tale).

Great idea, Al! I already have fishnet stockings, so all I need is a roll of electrical tape. Then I'll be in business!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone.

Happy Birthday! I read the post and didn't pick up that it was your birthday. I'm such a doughhead.

Somehow I fear this marks the development of a new personality... I'm worried for you Meg.
